Hi SailajaNalamati,

CUITe does not support this yet.

I have created a work item for this request here:

In the meantime, you may try asking on the MSDN Visual Studio UI Automation Testing (includes CodedUI) forums here:

Thank you.

Thank you for your response.  I am able to open download file from popup directly from keyboard( Alt+o). Is there a way, I can do this in CUIT. Then, that would be great. If yes, can you please send me the sample code. Apprecaite your help.

Hi Sailaja,

You may use the Keyboard.SendKeys methods to simulate key strokes.

Hi Sailaja,

The Coded UI Test framework supports automating excel spreadsheets through an extension.

CUITe is built on top of the Coded UI Test framework.

If needed, to get the underlying UITestControl, you can use the Unwrap method.

I haven't personally used CUITe or the Coded UI Test framework for automating excel, but it seems possible.

If there are things missing in CUITe that would make automating excel spreadsheets easier than just using the Visual Studio built-in Coded UI Test recorder and the excel extension, please let us know the specific details.

Thank you.
