Support for iFrame

Sep 27, 2011 at 8:29 PM

First up, thank you so much for this very helpful enhancement to CUIT.

Has anyone successfully tried pages that has iframes within it. I have been fooling around with the code a little bit and it seems it would not be too bad as Coded UI itself supports iframes.

I would report back when I have something good out of the changes I am trying out to the Object Recorder.

Meanwhile it would be nice to have someone else trying this path

Thanks

I have uploaded a patch that has the changes into the Object Recorder, that were necessary for our web app to be recordable.

There is now support for generating VB/C# code which would be a menu item selection right next to the View Code button.

Also the Object Recorder can now traverse and record the DOM elements within iframes

Perfect FloydPink. Checked in the changes, will be part of v1.04.

Open source rocks!

See patch 10480 by FloydPink.

If you were asking about how to record a control in a Frame, it is as usual, how you would record a normal control using CUITe Object Recorder.
